Cubert is a small costal village set between the famous tourist towns of Newquay and Perranporth. The historical church, village shop, pub/grill and bakery can all be found off the small village square. Cubert is very central location making it an ideal location to explore Cornwall. The city of Truro is only ten miles away and Padstow with its famous chef’s and fish restaurants only fifteen miles away.
Only just over half a mile away you will find the stunning sandy beach of Holywell Bay with its iconic Gull Rocks. Within two miles of Shepherds Rest you can reach “Crantock Beach “and “Porth Joke” beach locally known as “Polly Joke”
Wherever you are in Cornwall you are never far from a stunning beach with a good spot! Sand or surf!
If walking is your thing then Shepherds Rest is the place for you. The local area is full of well-maintained footpaths crossing farmland and the nearby Cubert Common. From Holywell you can access the North Coast costal path go North across the National Trust protected Kelsey Headland or go south around Penhale Point towards Perranporth. Both absolutely stunning!
